THE BEST TOURISM MARKETING IN THE STATE – AGAIN

by John Underwood

Once again, Tinsley Advertising dominated the Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Held in Tampa, Florida on Thursday, November 19, 2020, the Agency walked away with five (5) Flagler Awards for our creative work produced in 2019 (pre-Covid advertising efforts) for The Florida Keys & Key West. The multiple awards won were more than any other DMO or tourism-related business received in the state.

The Flagler awards included three (3) Henrys (the top honor) for our thirty-second “Twisted” television spot promoting direct flights to the destination, a print campaign promoting the variety of fishing in the Florida Keys & Key West and for our out-of-home taxi promotion in the UK. The agency also took home two (2) more Flagler awards in the Local Marketing and Direct Marketing categories.

The annual Flagler Awards are named after developer and railroad pioneer Henry Flagler and were established by Visit Florida in 2000 to recognize excellence in the Florida tourism marketing industry. To date, no agency has won more awards for a Destination Marketing Organization (DMO) than Tinsley.

We continue to be thankful for our long-standing partnership with the Monroe County Tourist Development Council that has allowed us to create award-winning work that has been extremely successful for this remarkable travel destination.

Tinsley wins again for The Florida Keys!

By John Underwood

At the 49th Annual Governor’s Conference on Tourism in Orlando, Tinsley received five Flagler awards for our creative work done to promote our partner, The Florida Keys & Key West. The annual Flagler Awards are named after developer and railroad pioneer Henry Flagler, and were established by Visit Florida in 2000 to recognize excellence in the Florida tourism marketing industry.

We won the Henry for our Direct Marketing efforts that was an electronic campaign targeting New Yorkers to come in the Fall. We also won four more Flagler awards in the following categories: Radio Advertising, Television Advertising, Mobile Marketing and Print Advertising.

“Tinsley and The Florida Keys & Key West have consistently won Henrys and multiple finalist awards each year since the inception of the competition 16 years ago,” said The Monroe County TDC Director, Harold Wheeler. Our marketing programs continue to be recognized as among the best in Florida, but even more important is the effectiveness in developing sustainable tourism for the Keys.”

Tinsley has also been named the official Agency of Record for The Florida Keys & Key West after an RFP and Creative presentation over the summer. Tinsley was honored to be retained by the Keys, an account Tinsley has grown since winning it in 1986. We continue to be proud of our partnership with The Florida Keys & Key West and the many successes we have shared-together.

by Dorn Martell

We were honored to win 2 Henrys and a total of 7 finalist awards during the 11th Annual Flagler Awards ceremony (recognizing outstanding tourism marketing in the state of Florida). The Flagler Awards are organized by Visit Florida, they are named to honor the “vision, perseverance, imagination and commitment” of the late Florida pioneer Henry Flagler.

“Tinsley and the Keys have won at least one ‘Henry’ and have had multiple finalists awards each year since the inception of the Flagler’s competition,” said Monroe County Tourist Development Council (TDC) Director Harold Wheeler. “I am excited that the TDC’s advertising has been recognized as among the best in Florida.”

Our work for The Florida Keys & Key West continues to be recognized as not only the best in the state, but also among the best in the nation. We are proud of our stack of Henrys and Addys and look forward to a long, successful relationship with the TDC and all our friends in Monroe County.
